Maxine Nagaba - Account Executive
To date, Maxine has had four years’ experience working in communications and marketing for both the government and NGO community. But her relatively recent entry into the industry is made up by her professionalism, especially in organizational skills. She is astute in helping clients navigate the digital world by making the most of social media.
Mulinde Musoke - Strategic Writer
Mulinde has had a long and distinguished career in journalism. He received specialized training from Associated Press, The Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Reuters and Thomson Foundation and headed up the Business Desk at The New Vision and later edited the Procurement News magazine and the East African Businessweek.
Seth Ainebyoona - Digital Artist
Seth is a young ambitious and talented digital artist/designer. His many skills include 2-D motion graphic design, 3-D visualisation, video editing, product design, designing social media digital layouts, and architectural design.
Christopher Burke - Managing Director
Christopher has 30 years’ experience working with media and managing communications, advocacy and advisory in Africa and East Asia. He has a deep understanding of marketing, brand positioning and strategic communication and has worked with a diverse range of companies, governments and multilateral institutions in public affairs and policy development.
Dr.Teresa Ngigi - Child Protection and Mental Health Advisor
Teresa has significant practical experience working in mental health and psychosocial support with UNICEF and SOS Children’s Villages specializing in trauma informed care and child protection. Originally from Kenya, she is currently based in Trieste, Italy. Teresa holds a BEd in psycho-pedagogy, a higher diploma in psychological counselling, a master’s degree in organizational leadership and management, a PhD in psychology and culture, and a post-doctorate in trauma informed care. She has written numerous articles and her books include Breaking the Cycle – the Role of Auntie Rosie in Trauma Informed Care and Trauma and Adoption. Teresa main goal is to make a difference in people`s lives and offer hope that it is possible to break the bonds that prevent individuals from being fully alive.
Timothy Hasahya - Digital Creative Executive
Timothy is adept in graphic and visual designs for digital platforms. He is particularly skilled at identifying clients’ needs, capturing their visualizations and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, info graphics and layouts for both traditional and digital media. Timothy creates the look and feel of various interfaces including websites, mobile devices and apps with a firm understanding of branding, film and photography.
Peace Anino - Administrator
For almost 15 years now, Peace has been involved in administration and management. Much of it has been spent working in the NGO community and non-profit health sector where she focused on capacity- building for a broad range of stakeholders including market vendors, people living with HIV, teenager initiatives, orphans and vulnerable children.
Sharon Kyatusiimire - Content Developer
Sharon has a Bachelor of Journalism and Communication from Makerere University. She is a highly driven and creative young public and Media relations professional with experience in both traditional and digital media and has worked in the media sector for more than 6 years.
Michael Wakabi - Business Advisory and Content Development
Michael combines decades of journalism with strong writing skills to deliver unique insights in business, economics and politics across Eastern Africa. He is a contributing editor to The East African and until recently was the team leader at Nation Holdings, Rwanda, a subsidiary of Nation Media Group. Before that, Michael served as Uganda Bureau Chief for Nation Media.
Peter Mukisa - Finance and Administration Manager
Peter is a certified accountant with vast experience in financial management. Prior to joining WMC Africa, Peter worked with the National Council of Sports as an accounts assistant/cashier and project coordinator. Among his other key assets is having an extended network of relations with key government institutions and corporate companies.
Carole Mugabi - Account Manager
With 10 years of experience behind her, Carole’s skills and competencies are in business development and consultancy, corporate communication, monitoring and evaluation, finance analytics and budgeting and customer relations. She has worked with several organisations in administrative and management roles, including government institutions and multilateral organisations. Among her key strengths is critical thinking, self-initiative and resourcefulness matched with excellent inter-personal skills and a high level of professionalism. She is also passionate about philanthropy, professional development, travelling and writing.
Patience Asinde - Account Executive
Patience’s greatest satisfaction comes when clients’ needs are met to their expectations, but if not, she has the energy to make it happen. She holds a Certificate in Business Administration from Zenith Business College and a Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from UMCAT School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She has worked at ICT Creatives, the knowledge management company, as an Administrative Assistant and later at Africa2Trust, Africa’s B2B portal/platform, as a Customer Support Executive. Patience is passionate about communications and managing client relations.
Priscillar Nyamahunge - Account Executive
A journalist by profession, Priscillar is adept with working with clients, especially on market research and strategic communication that help towards effective campaigns. With over seven years’ experience in broadcast and print journalism, Priscillar takes pride in developing content that helps clients reach their target audience while successfully using available media channels that best ensure the most appeal. Priscillar is a story-teller, but she does it with empathy, enthusiasm and an eye to detail.
Thembo Johnson - Account Manager
With nearly a decade of experience behind him, Thembo Johnson Kachinire, is a jolly and passionate multimedia journalist, up-to-date on current affairs, content creation, media relations, leadership and strategic communications.
He has worked with several reputable organizations both in the public and private sector, including the Uganda Broadcasting Cooperation, the Uganda Parliament’s Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Department, Save the Children and News Editor for The Insider Publication. He has also held slots at the UMCAT School Of Journalism and Mass Communication as a Lecturer, Public Relations Manager and Deputy Academic Registrar.
He has worked with several reputable organizations both in the public and private sector, including the Uganda Broadcasting Cooperation, the Uganda Parliament’s Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Department, Save the Children and News Editor for The Insider Publication. He has also held slots at the UMCAT School Of Journalism and Mass Communication as a Lecturer, Public Relations Manager and Deputy Academic Registrar.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Public Relations and Media Management from Cavendish University Uganda, a Diploma in Journalism and Multimedia Studies from UMCAT School of Journalism and Mass Communication and currently finalizing research for a Masters of Arts in Journalism and Communication Studies from the Indian based Amity University.
